Time Sheets and Payroll

One of the major responsibilities of the student's supervisor is to ensure that payroll information is accurate and complete. 

 

Time Sheets

Departments are required to use the University's official student timesheet available on the HR site at, http://www2.www.umb.edu/form/forms/TL006A.dot.

To make changes to a previous pay period or to submit a time sheet for a previous pay period, you are required to submit a Student Time Sheet Late Pay Form to Human Resources.

Time Sheets must be kept at the department for 3 years after the end of a fiscal year (i.e. any time sheet indicating hours worked on July 1st 2005 through June 30th 2006 must be kept until June 30th 2009).

 

Time and Labor Report

Supervisors are required to ensure that the information on the Time and Labor Report is a correct reflection of the student’s time sheets for that pay period, and that the hours worked per day match the report.  Time and Labor reports are required to be submitted to HR in order to receive your departments pay checks.

 

In order for the University to participate in the Federal Work Study Program, Student Employment Services is responsible for keeping the program in compliance with federal regulations.  As a result, at various times throughout the year we may request copies of time sheets to provide to external and internal auditors.
