The Ronald E. McNair Post–Baccalaureate Achievement Program

The McNair Program focuses on helping certain students go on to graduate study. Two-thirds of its participants are low-income, first-generation college students; one-third are undergraduate students from groups under-represented in graduate education. Participants are encouraged to pursue doctoral studies in science and math-related fields. Eligible students majoring in anthropology, biology, chemistry, computer science, earth and geographic science, mathematics, physics, or psychology participate in supervised research and scholarly activities.

McNair participants may also benefit from support groups, counseling, and a variety of educational and social activities. Visitors are welcome; application forms and appointments are available.
