The Ross Center for Disability Services
The Ross Center for Disability Services assists the University of Massachusetts
in providing equal access to its educational programs, so that its students
may achieve their academic potential. The University welcomes applications
from qualified students with disabilities and assures them that UMass
Boston will provide access to all programs for which they are qualified.
The Ross Centers goal is equity and excellence in education, through
helping each student to develop and maintain independence while maximizing
academic potential. Its philosophy encourages self-awareness, self-determination,
and self-advocacy. Center personnel work with UMass Boston students, faculty
and staff to assure appropriate academic adjustment that provide equal
access to classes and other activities on campus for all students.
