Accreditation
Every ten years the University of Massachusetts Boston undergoes an external review of its university-wide accreditation by the commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). As part of its scheduled 2005 review the campus conducted a comprehensive self-study to serve as the basis for a review by a visiting team. In November 2005 we received notice from the commission that the campus was granted a ten-year accreditation—with its next comprehensive review scheduled for 2015.
