Chancellor Motley recently told the charter UMass Boston charter class of 1969, “You believed in the ideal of a great public university and translated that noble vision into the outstanding institution that we see today.” That great legacy was celebrated this June as the class celebrated its 40th anniversary.
Our university's mission is vibrant because of that class and other alumni who represent the institutions which comprise UMass Boston's identity — Boston Teachers College and Boston State, among them.
