I was recently privileged to read a letter from a scholarship recipient to her donor. This
College of Public and Community Service senior, and mother of three, is completing her education that was interrupted decades ago.
Laurie Palmer wrote:
"Although the challenge of balancing school, work and family has been extremely difficult, the financial support that makes this opportunity available to me pushes me onward. My children, through their own sacrifice of my time, your generosity, and my efforts are witnessing a transformation that speaks volumes about philanthropy, tenacity, and of course, education. I plan to make you proud of your investment in me.”
Philanthropy and tenacity. The first makes the second possible. Thank you for investing in Boston’s student-centered, urban public university.
