Urban Scholars Impact on Me

The impact that Urban Scholars has on my life is that it gives me somewhere to go that is safe and is helping me prepare for college. The program is doing a great job helping students like me get ready for college and it is doing a great job preparing me. I am being constantly challenged here and having fun at the same time. Urban Scholars is great because I get to use my leadership skills, and I am looked up to and expected to help others around me.

Being Part of 25 Years of History

In making this website, I have learned more about Urban Scholars through meeting an amazing man, Dr. Charles Desmond, who helped found the program. It was so much fun talking to him. This experience is great because I know students will read this website for another 25 years. I’ve learned that Urban Scholars is that place where success and opportunities are always coming together. The program helps students like me become who we want to be, and it has always done that for every person involved from the beginning until now.

My Dream

My plan for the future is to make a difference. I want to change the world for the better. I will be the first of all my brothers and sisters to go to college, but not the first in my family. I look up to a lot of people in my family for their attending college, and I want to do it for them. I want to go to law school and study law in college.
