Urban Scholars Impact on MeUrban Scholars has already had a big impact on my life because they accepted me early. My three older siblings are in the program. On the first day of the summer program, they told me that since I was the only one not in middle school yet, I was going to have to wait to start until the fall. I was sad and went back into my mom's car. Then she got a call from the program director, and to my surprise they said I could stay! I was so relieved and so happy. Being Part of 25 Years of HistoryThis experience has been great. I met amazing people and did some great things. This program made my summer really exciting! My DreamMy grandmother gave me my dream for the future. She inspired me to be a minister. I have wanted to do that since I was nine, and ever since I gave my life to God, the door never shut. That is the career I want.
