Urban Scholars Impact On Me

Urban Scholars has had an impact on me in two ways. It has helped me as a scholar and to become more social. It is a great program where I am gaining good experience about what college classes will be like and meeting new people. This is my second year and I have learned many new facts in my neurology, psychology, math, and other classes. I enjoy going to the program because I learn new things, it keeps me busy, and I also get paid. I did not realize until now how Urban Scholars has changed my social life.  Now I am more social and open to others, I and am making friends in the program. 

Being Part of 25 Years of History

Being part of this web site project is a new experience to me because it is the first Urban Scholars project that I have worked on. It has been great because I have learned a lot of history about the program. I also enjoy working with computers, and I liked using those skills with this project. I liked being able to work on something that will become part of the program history. What I enjoyed most was working on editing the “UrbanNet Show” video. It took a lot of time, and I’m proud that the end product reflects my efforts.

My Dream

After I finish high school I will go to an aeronautics college. I want to go to college because I dream of working for Lockheed Martin. After working for them, when I have enough money and experience, I will open my own private company that will produce artificial intelligence machines. I hope to change the world by putting artificial intelligence to good use, such as a weapon for war or in a hospital to help doctors and nurses. My dream for the future is very simple; I want to live an enjoyable life. That is why I am working hard now in school and will do so in college. I know it will pay off after college.
