Wilman flies high today doing his dream job as a pilot, but says it was Urban Scholars that helped him really take off. Before entering the program, this first-generation college student had no plans for higher education. His world changed at UMass Boston, where he acquired the
skills and discipline to succeed in college. He developed his passion for travel
from program field trips that took him to major U.S. cities and even backpacking in Maine.
