The Chancellor's Council is a distinguished group of donors whose gifts to UMass Boston form the cornerstone of our private support.

We welcome members who are committed to make UMass Boston a priority in their yearly charitable giving.  Each level of membership helps us to create a vibrant 21st century education for UMass Boston's students: 

Benefactor A yearly gift of $25,000 or more
Regent A yearly gift of $10,000 or more
Partner A yearly gift of $5,000 or more
Beacon A yearly gift of $2,500 or more
Patron A yearly gift of $1,000 or more

  • For recent graduates, membership is made available to those who commit to a yearly gift of $500 or more
    (six to ten years since graduation) or $250 (five or fewer years since graduation.)
  • Chancellor's Council members receive special invitations to events with the chancellor and key administrators, a periodic letter from the chancellor sharing his latest ideas, and a complimentary copy of the University Reporter, UMass Boston's monthly newspaper. Council members may also receive other recognition of their membership in the society.
