Directions to the Venture Development Center
Subway
Take Red Line to JFK/UMass Station. It is a 14 minute ride from Kendall Square. A free shuttle bus takes you from the JFK/UMass stop to the Campus Center Main Entrance (Upper Level). From the Campus Center, take the elevator from the Upper Level to Second floor. Turn right, and walk the length of the building, then enter the catwalk. Walk straight ahead to the Wheatley Hall. Take the elevator to the third floor. Turn left, and walk down the hallway until you reach a white-walled corridor. The Venture Development Center has a glass door entrance on the right.
By car
By car from the north
Take Interstate 93 South through Boston to Exit 15 (Columbia Road/JFK Library). Take a left at the end or the ramp onto Columbia Road, and then take your first right in the rotary. Follow the University of Massachusetts signs along Columbia Road and Morrissey Boulevard to the campus (University Ave).
By car from the south
Take Interstate 93 North to exit 14 (Morrissey Boulevard/JFK Library) and follow Morrissey Boulevard north to the campus (University Ave).
By car from the west
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) east to Interstate 93. Take I-93 South one mile to Exit 15 (JFK Library/South Boston/Dorchester). Take a left at the end or the ramp onto Columbia Road, and then take your first right in the rotary. Follow the University of Massachusetts signs along Columbia Road and Morrissey Boulevard to the campus (University Ave).
Parking
Use one of the seven parking lots located along University Drive which circles the campus, and walk to Campus Center (see Subway section for walking directions from Campus Center).
The South Lot is the closest lot to the Venture Development Center.
Directions to South Lot (student lot) and to the VDC:
From the main entrance, drive down University Ave. You will pass a gazebo on your right (the Fox Point Pavilion and Boat Dock) and Wheatley Hall will be on your left. The entrance to the South Lot (Student lot) will be directly after the Wheatley Building on your left. Enter the building through the most southern parking level entrance (closest to University Ave and water) and take the elevator to the third floor. The Venture Development Center is located to the left of the elevator, through the glass doors.
