Frank J. Manning Certificate in Gerontology (online)

Since 1980, the Frank J. Manning Certificate Program has equipped students with skills and resources necessary to build rewarding careers in gerontology and provides those already employed in the field the credentials to advance.

The six-course, Manning Certificate Program is well-suited for students interested in the improvement of care, research, policy development, and quality-of-life programs for older adults. In this certificate program, you will gain an understanding of the aging network and aging process through direct service, research, field placements, social and public policy, and legislative advocacy for the elderly. Coursework for the Manning Certificate is offered online.

Program Highlights

  • This nationally acclaimed certificate is one of only a dozen Gerontology programs in the United States designated by the Association of Gerontology of Higher Education (AGHE) as a "Program of Merit."
  • The program has also been approved for CEU credit by the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Nursing Home Administrators.
