SSCP Certification Preparation
This cybersecurity course focuses on the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) industry certification to prepare you for the exam. The course deals with practical aspects of real-world security issues and concerns we face in our cyberspace. This course is ideal for those with proven technical skills and practical, hands-on security knowledge in operational IT roles, as well as those preparing for practical cybersecurity jobs in the current market. It provides confirmation of a practitioner's ability to implement, monitor and administer IT infrastructure in accordance with information security policies and procedures that ensure data confidentiality, integrity and availability.
The course focuses on the 7 SSCP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) domains:
- Access Controls
- Security Operations and Administration
- Risk Identification, Monitoring, and Analysis
- Incident Response and Recovery
- Network and Communications Security
- Systems and Application Security
When you complete this course, you'll receive 3.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This is a non-credit course. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis; no letter grades are awarded.

Instructor: Charles Pak
With over 31 years of hands-on business and technical experience, Charles Pak is a New Business Solution Architect in Information Security in both the private and public sectors. He has provided cyber security solutions to large government agencies through technical management and consulting for large, diversified global clients in the healthcare, financial services, and communication sectors.
Charles Pak is a hands-on practitioner who holds industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SSCP, ITIL, MCSE, MCT and CCNA. His areas of research include cyber terrorism, cybersecurity, national critical infrastructure protection, cyber vulnerabilities, and cyber warfare. He has a PhD in Information Security from Nova Southeastern University, an MS in Network Security from Capitol Technology University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania.
