David Price has worked in the mental health and substance abuse field for the past 26 years. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. He attained his BS in psychology from Georgia State University in 1985 and attained his master's in counseling psychology from the University of North Texas in 1989. He has specialized in substance abuse treatment during his entire career. His other specialties include trauma treatment, sex offender treatment, gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender issues, marital/family therapy and adolescent therapy. He has gained additional skills in Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, trauma treatment, cognitive behavioral treatment and relapse prevention. He has been a college instructor for the past 17 years and has presented at numerous national conferences. He currently works as the Coordinator of Substance Abuse Services at the Devereux School in Rutland, Massachusetts. ACEP instructor (online and on-campus at all sites).
