Gillian Cox works as a counselor at both the Center for Addictive Behavior (CAB) detoxification unit (detox) and the Salvation Army, Harbor Lights Center, both located in Boston. She works with clients who are there for a period of six months, helping them through their initial stages of recovery, onward into the stages of re-integration into everyday society. At CAB, she gathers information about the individual clients and assist with placement into further treatment. She is currently pursuing her LADCII at UMass Boston. Once she has completed her LADCII,she will be qualified to work as a licensed addictions counselor. She intend to continue working at both Salvation Army and CAB and continue online teaching. She is an ACEP co-instructor (online).
