Roland Branconnier graduated from Suffolk University with a BS in psychology. He attended graduate school at Boston University School of Medicine where he earned an MA in pharmacology. In 1981, he and Jonathan O. Cole, MD, co-founded the Institute for Psychopharmacologic Research (IPR). IPR, a dedicated clinical research center, conducted pivotal clinical trials in Mood Disorders and Alzheimer's Disease for over 20 years. Branconnier's areas of expertise are protocol design, statistical analysis, and the assessment of the electrophysiological and cognitive effects of psychotropic drugs. He has extensive first author publications in peer-reviewed journals, served as a journal referee for several major scientific publications, and consulted to the National Institutes of Mental Health, major pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations.
