How to Register
If you are a matriculated UMass Boston student or have taken UMass Boston courses before, please use the WISER online self-service registration system.
Registrations must be postmarked by the registration deadline for the applicable session. For more info on deadlines, See Academic Calendar.

New non-degree students or inactive non-degree students must fill out our online Non-Degree Application Form.
Once we create your new student record and UMS number (your student ID number), we will email you a confirmation and instructions on how to enroll. Assuming space is available and you meet the prerequisites, you will be able to register yourself for the course(s) you wish to take.
You may register in person at the One Stop Student Service Center, Campus Center, Upper Level. The One Stop is open Monday - Thursday, 8:30a - 6p and Friday, 10a - 4p.
By Permission of Instructor and/or Department
Some courses require special permission to register. These courses are appropriately marked within our website and printed bulletin. Please note that following the start of a course, permission of the instructor may be required in order to register until the Add/Drop deadline of that particular session. No registrations will be accepted after the Add/Drop Deadline.
