Students may use the following methods to make payment:

Please make checks payable to "UMass Boston". Payment of course and service fees with a check that is subsequently returned by our bank will result in an additional returned check fee of $28, and may also result in administrative withdrawal and referral to a collection agency, which may result in liability for the payment of a collection fee.

Credit Card

Credit Card payments can be processed through Higher One® Business Office Solutions (MasterCard, VISA, Discover, or American Express cards can be used). If you choose this option, you can login to the WISER self-services account and click on the "make a payment" link. You will be taken to a secure site provided by Higher One® to process your payment.

Please have your Student ID number, credit card information ready. You will be charged a non-refundable convenience fee by Higher One® for using this service. The convenience fee will be calculated for you BEFORE you enter your credit card information.

Important: The non-refundable convenience fee will also apply to Debit Card Payments processed through Higher One®.

Cash payments are made only at the Bursar’s Office (Campus Center, 4th floor). After you have enrolled, you may make a cash payment at the Bursar’s Office, where you will be given a receipt.

Anyone eligible for course fee waivers must submit documentation when registering.

Payment by Outside Agency

If the student’s charges are to be paid by an outside agency, a payment authorization from that agency must accompany his or her registration. Students are reminded that they are liable for course and service fees in the event that the sponsoring agency does not pay them.
