School Counseling Practicum
The purpose of the practicum is to expose the student to the field of school counseling. This is accomplished through placement in a school where appropriate supervision is provided. Class discussions include a review of on-site observations and experiences and discussions of current issues in the school counseling field (one semester: 100 hours). For more information, please see the program handbook located at ResourcesCurrentStudents.
School Counseling Internship
Students complete their placement as apprentice counselors in schools under the direct supervision of qualified professionals. Students meet weekly for a three-hour seminar over two semesters. All students are expected to complete 300 internship hours per semester. For more information, please see the program handbook located at ResourcesCurrentStudents.
