Takuya Minami (Tak), PhD, has mainly studied psychotherapy process and outcome during his academic career, particularly with regards to the effectiveness of psychotherapy practiced in clinical service settings (e.g., mental health clinics, university/college counseling centers). His interests are broader and include basic questions such as what optimal mental health is and how it could be fostered, taking into consideration the context of the individuals. He is also interested in research methods and statistical analyses. He is a member of APA Division 17 (Society of Counseling Psychology) and Society for Psychotherapy Research.
