This workshop is designed to prepare students to succeed on the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) General Curriculum Multi-Subject exam. During the workshop, students will be exposed to the most commonly used English Language Arts, Science and Technology and Historical terminology given on the exam. Students will review proper MTEL test-taking strategies, review the scoring rubric for the written response portion and will be able to try actual test questions with instant answer analysis. Due to the fact that this exam covers a wide variety of subject areas and grade level content, students will be given the opportunity to create their own guided study index cards after they are able to watch over 40 short and informational videos as a whole group.
Each workshop costs $125. This fee can be submitted either by check or money order, made payable to University of Massachusetts Boston. Registration is not complete until the $125 is received. Please note that this fee is non-refundable. However, it can be applied toward a future workshop.
There is a materials fee of $25. This is payable to the instructor on the day of the workshop.
