Faculty & Staff

Our graduate faculty is comprised of eight faculty members with American Studies appointments. These nationally-recognized faculty teach all the core graduate courses for the MA program. They each have a strong record of accomplishment that includes books published by top-tier academic publishers, visibility as noted public intellectuals, and regular participation in national conferences. Graduate students with teaching assistantships are often placed in undergraduate classes taught by these faculty. Applicants to the MA program are welcome to contact any of our graduate faculty directly to find out more about their work and  teaching or to discuss goals for the program. Our students sometimes supplement their coursework with cross-listed courses taught by talented affiliated faculty outside the American Studies department.
