Additional Information

Anne Tolbert is a faculty member in the Performing Arts Department, where she alternates teaching Modern Dance, Understanding Dance, Choreography and Dance Theater Workshop, especially enjoying the process of expanding students' visions of their own creativity. She has previously taught at Wheaton College, Brandeis University, and the College of the Holy Cross. She is grateful to all her teachers, including Martha Graham, Mary Anthony, Merce Cuningham, Murray Louis, and Alwin Nikolais. Anne danced in the Alwin Nikolais Dance Theater, and has been a choreographer, director, and dancer with the Dance Circle Company of Boston. She has also choreographed for the Boston Ballet, Concert Dance Company, and First Night Boston, as well as for theater groups and special events.
