Professor Cisterna Gold received her Ph.D from New York University, 2005. She joined the Hispanic Studies Department the same year. She teaches courses on Latin American Literatures and Cultures, Argentina, Autobiography and Exile. Her area of research is exile and travel narratives in Argentine literature, memory and autobiography, history and politics.

She is currently working on a new project that studies the social and political representation of hotels in Latin American Literatures.
