Course/ Program Proposals

These pages offers guidance for CLA faculty members who propose new courses and changes to courses. One form, appropriately known as the “ONE FORM,” is used for this process.

The One Form is designed to ensure consistency in college and university standards as the curriculum changes. But not every proposal requires review by exactly the same administrative bodies, and, in certain instances, the One Form can be employed for multiple purposes simultaneously. For example, a faculty member may wish to propose a new course and also propose that it should fulfill certain requirements. The One Form itself offers a brief list of the signatures needed for different kinds of proposals at the top of Section E directions.
