Spanish Language (Minor)

  • Students may be accepted into the Spanish Language Minor starting in the fall of 2012

The Spanish Language Minor offers students a carefully sequenced array of courses that provide the tools to develop an advanced level of Spanish language proficiency. This minor prepares students to confidently understand, speak, interact, and write in Spanish and apply this learning to their chosen life and professional paths. These skills are key to success in today’s increasingly transnational world.

This minor not only provides the building blocks to proficiency, but can also provide a carefully articulated bridge for majoring in one of the Latin American and Iberian Studies major's three tracks: Translation; Spanish Linguistics; or Language, Culture, and Society.
