Due to the rigor, intensity, and academic standard of required nursing and exercise and health science courses, tutoring is offered by graduate teaching assistants. Tutoring appointments are scheduled for one hour and may include clarification of challenging course specific concepts and content, study strategies, test taking proficiency, organization and time-management skills. We offer individual and small group tutoring Monday-Friday and are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Clinical tutoring is offered by our graduate teaching assistants who are all practicing registered nurses. Undergraduate nursing students may schedule a session to practice any clinical skill with a teaching assistant. The focus of a tutoring appointment may also include organization and prioritization of patient care, medication administration, clinical reasoning, concept map development and applying phases of the nursing process to patient-centered care.
Students currently enrolled can schedule an appointment here.
