If you are unable to keep your tutoring appointment, please call the CCER to cancel at 617-287-7611.

*If you have been referred for mandatory tutoring by your clinical faculty, please email the CCER at CCER@umb.edu to schedule your customized tutoring sessions. How to access Tutoring:

Students may self-refer by signing up in the tutoring sign-up binder, which is available at the reception desk of the CCER (3rd floor of the Science building)

Provide your name, phone number and course and clinical focus on the first line of the appointment slot. This can be for 1:1 tutoring or a small group (3 students) could sign up for example, for more intensive tutoring (then available during Open Lab) for IV administration and use of IV pumps.

The majority of clinical tutoring occurs through referral by clinical faculty. See our Clinical Tutoring Referral Policy (faculty version). Faculty should speak to the student about the referral. Once the CCER receives the electronic referral, the student will be emailed and provided assistance in scheduling their clinical tutoring appointments. If you are referred for clinical tutoring please read the Clinical Tutoring Referral Policy and Responsibilities (student version).

Please be responsible and come on time to your appointment, prepared with your materials and ready to actively participate in clinical cases.

In the rare case that you are unable to keep a scheduled tutoring appointment please call the CCER to cancel at 617-287-7611.

Tutoring

“I come every week with 3 of my friends and the tutor helps us to connect what we learned in patho with the diseases we are studying in med-surg. Sometimes she has us watch videos and we discuss the diseases, the meds and the labs. It helps us to put it all together.”
