Exercise and Health Sciences
Welcome to the Department of Exercise and Health Sciences. Our innovative curriculum combines a sound theoretical base with real-world experience. Students learn from expert faculty members who are engaged in teaching and research in our state-of-the-art facilities.
We offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Exercise and Health Sciences (EHS). Majoring in EHS offers abundant possibilities in the allied health, exercise, and health promotion fields. Upon graduating, our undergraduate students are well equipped to pursue careers or further graduate study in a wide variety of disciplines.
Many choose to continue their education in graduate-level allied health programs, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant, or in professional programs like direct-entry nursing and medicine. Others opt to pursue exercise related professions, such as exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and fitness center management. And a number of our graduates choose careers in health promotion, such as wellness directors, worksite health directors, community health workers, and wellness coaches.
Our graduate programs are geared towards preparing students to advance in their exercise and health sciences careers.
