Jane Cloutterbuck’s research interests are health disparities and the health of disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. Current research focuses on dementia family caregiving in ethnic minority groups and on health promotion/disease prevention among ethnic elders. Cloutterbuck is available to professional and lay groups regarding issues related to dementia family caregiving in ethno-cultural populations. She serves as a board member of the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts Chapter and is a member of The Board of Directors of the Grimes-King Foundation, which funds and oversees projects associated with the health, housing, and social service needs of older black women. She developed the Cloutterbuck Minimum Data Matrix (CMDM) a theoretical model for community health nursing education, research, and practice. The CMDM is also applicable to teaching and research in nursing and health policy.
