Additional Information

JoAnn Mulready-Shick leads efforts in developing education and agency partnerships, innovative clinical education practice models such as the Dedicated Education Units (DEUs), and in integrating quality and safety competencies in nursing education (QSEN) and evidence-based pedagogical practices. She serves as a national consultant for curricular integration of QSEN competencies.   She enjoys promoting faculty role development in evidence-based teaching and learning practices, and in advancing the science of nursing education in interdisciplinary collaborative research with nursing, higher education, and linguistics. JoAnn Mulready-Shick’s scholarship focus includes interpretive phenomenology and critical hermeneutic methodologies exploring student and faculty experience. She recently completed service on a national task force on diversity in the nurse educator workforce.
