Profile
Margaret McAllister, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, FAANP, is an FNP faculty member at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, teaching in the DNP program and the post-master’s NP online program. She serves as a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education site visitor and a member of the editorial review board for the Journal of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her publications focus on mental health issues, and the role of the APRN as educator. She has been the project director for the FNP training grant, directs the post-master’s on line FNP and Adult/Gerontology programs as well as the Clinical Nurse Specialist certificate program. McAllister has played an active role in the advisory board to the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing to revise the Regulations Governing Nurses in the Expanded Role in Massachusetts 244 CMR 4.0. As co-project director for the Doctor of Nursing Practice Training Grant, she is active in course development and quality improvement initiatives.
