Additional Information

Dr. Leveille is an epidemiologist with an extensive background in Gerontological Nursing. As lead investigator with the MOBILIZE Boston Study II, she studies a proposed cognitively-mediated pathway from chronic pain to mobility decline and fall risk in this population-based cohort study of older adults, funded by the National Institute on Aging. As a faculty member with the Division of General Medicine and Primary Care, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dr. Leveille is studying ways to empower patients through use of patient internet portals. She collaborates locally, nationally and internationally on a number of projects involving geriatric health, mobility, chronic pain, falls, and prevention of disability in older adults.
