Globalization in Internationalization in Higher Education

Description:
The purpose of this doctoral-level course is to help students develop an in-depth understanding of the debates concerning globalization, with a particular focus on higher education. Although the course will focus primarily on institutions of higher education in the United States, examples and case studies will also be taken from other countries and world regions. Students in this course will expand their understanding of 1) theories of globalization, 2) theories of globalization in education and higher education, 3) internationalization in higher education,and 4) research related to various aspects of globalization's impact on colleges and universities.
