Research Methods in Higher Education: Qualitative Analysis

This course, the second part of the Higher Education Program's research methods sequence, addresses issues related to qualitative research methods in education and, more specifically, higher education. The main focus of the course is to familiarize students with the philosophical and theoretical underpinnings of qualitative inquiry and some of the major approaches to qualitative research, including ethnography, phenomenology, grounded theory, narrative inquiry, case study, and participatory action research.
