Epidemiologic Methods

Description:
This course builds on prior knowledge of the basic principles of epidemiology while introducing methods of epidemiologic analysis, and their application to the field of advanced practice nursing (APRN) at the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) level. The course is intended to provide students with the skills and knowledge to critically evaluate health research based on epidemiologic standards. In addition, students will learn to perform preliminary analyses of epidemiologic, biostatistical, environmental, and other scientific data to address basic questions related to individual, aggregate, and population health.
