Class Notes: Painting I An introduction to the materials, techniques, history and approaches involved in oil painting. We will explore perceptual challenges involved in working from life. Issues of color, drawing and composition as well as varying ways of paint handling including glazing, wet-into-wet, and impasto will be addressed through in-class studio work sessions, one-on-one discussions of progress, demonstrations, presentations of artists work, and class critiques.|
