Introduction to Economic Issues

Description:
This course introduces some of the tools, controversies, and major issues of economics. Students learn basic concepts and methods of measurement used in economics and are introduced to the ways economists analyze economic and social problems. The course focuses each semester on a particular policy topic, giving attention to competing interpretations of the roles of markets, government, firms, and households. Please note that declared economics majors may not enroll in this course. Please note: A student may not receive credit for both ECON 110G and ECON 100.
