Class Notes: Feminist Hist: Renaissance France & Beyond This course explores one important branch of the history of feminism: literature by women writers of the French Renaissance. We then examine how this debate spread outward from France in space and time, bookending our studies with two modern examples of French women auteurs working in new media: graphic novels and cinema. Readings in French; discussions in English. This course counts toward the French major and minor.
