The CSci Program in a nutshell
The interdisciplinary nature of the field, and that it is rich in opportunities to participate in the development of cutting edge technology attracted me. I was already decided to pursue a degree in Computational Science when I heard about this new program at UMass Boston. It was just great timing.

Ideal job after graduation
It would be great to be a part of a R&D team in a top company. I've always enjoyed the process of understanding something and then being able to bring ideas to real life.

Fun fact
I use to be part of a Rock Band. We called ourselves Notas!

The interdisciplinary field combines the methods and insights of several established disciplines and traditional fields of study with unique research methodology to gain a deeper understanding of novel phenomena. The computational science and interdisciplinary program is the best match to utilize my mathematical and computer science background, along with my management experience, to achieve my educational and career goals.

Ideal job after graduation
Working as a database manager to analyze and manage the unstructured biomedical data.

Fun fact
I am interested in art and pattern design. I used to do photorealism and pottery painting. Now, since I don't have enough time, I do cooking and serve the food in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement instead.

The CSci Program in a nutshell
This program combines the knowledge of the Statistics and the other subjects and I see many possibilities and opportunities here. For example, bioinformatics become more and more popular in many fields such as the pharmacy industry. I have stated learning skills such as how to use R language to deal with large data and apply data mining ideas and methods in bioinformatics models. Learning  building a model in the biology field can also help me constructing models in other fields. I started getting some ideas for my future career: After I graduate, I can either keep doing researching at school or apply what I learned in biology companies.

Ideal job after graduation
I am aiming to become a Data Scientist!

Fun fact
I exercise on a running machine five days a week and I like to play a video game called Heroes of the Storm.
