Sara Boxell is the program coordinator of the Asian American Student Success Program. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Oberlin College in comparative American studies with a concentration in identity and diversity. While at Oberlin, she became involved with Asian American Studies and was very active in the Asian American campus community. Sara completed her master of arts degree from UMass Boston in American Studies. Her final paper explored encounters with Korean food detailed in Korean American adoptee-authored literature and creative writing. During her time as a graduate student, she worked closely with UMass Boston's Asian American Studies Program and was formerly the activities coordinator for the Asian American Student Success Program. Sara taught the course ASAMST/AMST 223L Asians in the United States in Fall 2015.
