Thank you for your interest in the Upward Bound Program! Download the Upward Bound enrollment application or complete the application online! A completed application for our program consists of the following items:

  1. All signatures -- both parent/guardian and student.
  2. A complete high school transcript. If you are a 9th grade student, please include your 7th and 8th grade transcripts, as well.
  3. Your most recent MCAS/PARCC/standardized test scores.
  4. Photocopy of your Social Security Card.
  5. If you are a permanent resident, please include a photocopy of both sides of your Permanent Resident Card.
  6. If you have an IEP, please include a copy.

Failure to hand in a completed application will result in delayed processing. As soon as we receive your completed application, we will schedule an interview with you. We believe that Upward Bound offers an exciting opportunity for you to work toward your future educational goals, and we look forward to working with you to achieve those goals!

Enrollment Eligibility

Being a part of Upward Bound means that you will always have the support and guidance you need to meet your educational, personal, and professional goals. To be eligible for Upward Bound, you must meet be:

  • 13-19 years old.
  • A current student at Jeremiah E. Burke High School, Madison Park High School, Excel High School, or Dearborn STEM Academy. Recruitment efforts are generally directed at ninth and tenth graders.
  • Low-income by federal guidelines  and/or a potential first-generation college student or a student who has a high risk for academic failure according to federal guidelines.
  • Considering college in the future.
