Academic Potential Program
Who we are:
We are an information, advising and referral source for all students who are on academic probation. Our academic advisors are highly trained and experienced in assisting students to reach their full academic potential.
If you're experiencing difficulties that are affecting your academic performance, we're here for you. We'll take the time to listen, share in your concerns, and learn about your hopes and dreams. We'll partner with you to identify your strengths, assess your academic status and develop a plan for success at UMass Boston and beyond.
What to expect:
Throughout the academic advising process, you will have opportunities to identify and reflect on your individual academic challenges. Based on this self reflection, we'll connect you with practical resources on and off campus and guide you in selecting appropriate courses towards your degree requirements. If you have declared a major, we strongly encourage you to establish a close relationship with your faculty advisor. We'll help you to make this important connection.
Make an appointment:
You may meet with any University Advising Center academic advisor. The best way to make an appointment is to call us at 617-287-5500. If you have declared a major, please also contact your faculty advisor.
