TEAS Nursing Exam
TEAS: The Test of Essential Academic Skills
The Testing Center offers the TEAS exam to both UMass Boston students and to nursing students at other colleges.
For UMass Boston students, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) requires a proficient score on version V of the TEAS exam as part of the admission process for inter-college transfer students, second degree students and transfer applicants prior to the yearly CNHS application deadline. New first year nursing students do not need the TEAS exam.

- A nationally recognized pre-admissions test for nursing students.
- A standardized, timed computer-based exam consisting of 170 multiple-choice questions in four separately timed sections in reading, English, math and science.
- 209 minutes long.
- Scored immediately.
Making your Appointment:
To take a TEAS exam, you must register in advance online at: www.atitesting.com. Then, in the lower right hand corner, select “Register for TEAS”. At this time, you will pay for the exam and choose the school you want to receive your test score.
Our Testing Center offers the TEAS exam three times per month throughout the year. ATI manages the scheduling based on our seat availability. Walk-in testing is not available.
