Educational Forums

The purpose of the Educational Forums Committee is to identify what education forums are needed; such as staff and/or agency training, community forums, area wide conferences, curriculum development, to present major themes and thesis’s addressing solutions for breaking the cycles of violence and/or smaller area topics.

The target presenters may include health professionals, researchers, educators, human service professionals, public safety officials, and teen advocates. Key invited audience participants may include elected and appointed public officials, human services and family services public agencies, community development corporations, faith-based initiatives, media personnel, and students, to name a few.

Potential subject areas are: domestic violence, gang/street violence, post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), institutional violence, violence in entertainment/media, violence in music, bigotry, materialism, militarism, etc.
