Commencement 2015 Information: Friday, May 29
The University of Massachusetts Boston holds one commencement for the academic year. At this commencement, all candidates for graduation participate: undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, from December 2014, May 2015 and those who anticipate to graduate in August 2015 (and have filed with the registrar to do so) may walk in this academic ceremony. In order to participate you must have declared your intent to graduate with the Registrar. The deadline was March 13, 2015.
Commencement 2015 will take place at the TD Garden, 100 Legends Way, Boston, MA
7:30 a.m. All students (undergraduate, graduate and doctoral) should arrive to the TD Garden (with their cap and gown). Students will line up outside on Legends way, and once verified will be allowed into the venue.
Please be sure to give your guests their tickets prior to you entering the venue!
8:45 a.m. The academic procession begins
9:30 a.m. The ceremony begins
At the ceremony all degrees will be conferred. Students must return to their seat after their name is called. Diploma covers will be distributed at the ceremony; actual diplomas for May graduates will be mailed in late August.
1:30 p.m. (approximately) The ceremony ends
Guest admittance is by ticket only. Doors open for guests at 7:30 a.m.
For the safety and security of our graduates and guests, bags, backpacks, luggage, laptops, coolers, parcels, briefcases and like articles will be strictly prohibited from the TD Garden. All guests will be subject to search, at TD Garden’s discretion, of their person and/or possessions (including women’s handbags of normal size that may be allowed entry after such search). Patrons with prohibited articles will be turned away at the entrances and no storage or check area will be provided for such items. Enforcement will be without exceptions.
