As part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University of Massachusetts Boston, the 2015 commencement exercises will take place at the TD Garden, 100 Legends Way, Boston. The academic procession is one of the oldest university traditions and it is widely viewed as a symbol of our collective dedication to the development of knowledge and academic inquiry. All UMass Boston faculty are invited to be a part of our academic procession.
The university will provide bus shuttles from campus to the TD Garden and back to campus on Friday, May 29. You must email the Chancellor’s Office of Special Events by Friday, May 22 to ensure a seat on the bus and a seat at the venue.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate:
- You WILL be participating in the commencement exercises
- You WILL be utilizing the campus shuttle service
Your response is required by Friday, May 22. You do not need to send an email that indicates if you will NOT be participating in commencement as we will be reserving seats only for those who reply in the affirmative.
If you wish to march and you do not have your own academic regalia, you may purchase it or rent it for the day from University Cap & Gown Company.
