Confucius Classrooms

By the end of 2015, there have been 1000 Confucius Classrooms established in 134 countries and regions. The Classrooms, named after the well-known ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius, serve as nonprofit public institutions to help students better understand China by teaching language and culture at schools.

Confucius Institutes at UMass Boston works closely with local U.S. schools and has established 7 Confucius Classrooms since 2009, which stimulate and support innovative teaching and learning of Chinese language and culture in the community.
