Fiore earned a Fulbright Fellowship for the 2006-07 academic year to conduct research in Budapest, Hungary. While there, she researched the social and economic mobility of the Roma population in Hungary by looking at governmental welfare programs offered by the Hungarian government and the European Union. During her Fulbright Fellowship, Fiore was affiliated with the Hungarian-American Fulbright Commission, Central European University, and the European Roma Rights Center. In 2006, Fiore received her MA in Economics with a focus in Economic Development from Fordham University in New York. She also holds a BA in Sociology and Economics from Fordham University.

Currently, she is an analyst at Abt Associates, working on domestic housing and homeless issues.
