Applied Behavior Analysis for Special Populations Graduate Sequence

The seven courses in the Applied Behavior Analysis for Special Populations graduate certificate program at the University of Massachusetts Boston are offered starting each September through July.  The Association for Behavior Analysis International has verified the courses toward the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA) examination. Applicants will need to meet additional requirements before they can be deemed eligible to take the examination. The Verified Course Sequence (VCS) for UMass Boston is 51093.

The ABA Information Packet provides a detailed description of our current program, including course descriptions aligned with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)TM Task List 5 competencies, and instructions for applying to join the next fall’s cohort. The course sequence starts only in the fall; except in special circumstances, students should apply for the fall semester. The program requires that each participant have in place a BCBA supervisor during their coursework.

In addition to completing the 7-course ABA certificate, participants have the option of applying graduate credits earned in the ABA certificate program towards the Master’s in Education: Learning, Teaching, and Educational Transformation (non-licensure).
